I'm writing a book

And for you, dear readers.....(Rosie and Hattz) I have created a special preview!

Here we go..... "ahem!" (rolls up sleeves and takes a deep breath...)

The Early Morning

The Tourmaline Circlet was revered as the sacred icon of Citlalia. Worn by the Princess Nakanadi, the Circlet bought hope to the people of Citalalia - it was a symbol of the great empire that Citlalia had once commanded, and of the golden, peaceful lives that the citizens had once enjoyed.
The Circlet, it was said, had been forged by the Elven folk at the dawn of time and had been hidden until such a time as it was needed. It was said that the Circlet could only be worn by those who were worthy of its power. Each person who wears the Circlet is granted a gift, a power unique to each individual that bears the Tourmaline Stone, set deep into the Circlet. It was fortold that one day, the Circlet would be left without a single bearer. On this day, the Stone should be removed and broken, before being distributed as the previous wearer wishes.

Devmani awoke slowly, savouring the feel of the warm air gently caressing his cheeks. The air around him hummed with the familliar sound of birdsong. He carefully opened his eyes to see the smooth brown ceiling only inches above his face. Rolling onto his side, he looked across the room and into the dark brown eyes of his sister. He smiled. "Good morning!" He whispered softly. She smiled too. As she rolled out of bed and padded across the wooden floor, Adava looked back at her brother. He hadn't moved. He lay watching her as she brushed her long blonde hair back and secured it with an ornate silver clasp. She turned to look out of the window and sighed. "Another beautiful day."
